The University of Veterinary Medicine in Kosice, established in 1949, is a single-purpose educational, scientific, and research institution in Slovakia. It's among the leading veterinary universities in Central Europe. The university offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral studies. It comprises five faculties including, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Biotechnology and Food sciences, Institute of Lifelong Learning and ERDF, and Institute of Biodiversity Conservation and Biosafety. Its main mission is to provide quality education to future veterinarians and professionals in biotechnology and food science. The institution also aims to significantly contribute to the advancement of veterinary medical science. It takes pride in its extensive research, providing modern and effective treatment methods for diseases afflicting our pets, farm animals, wildlife, and even humans.
