Established in 2004, the University of Western Macedonia (UoWM) is a public university located in Kozani, Greece. The university was formed after merging several departments of the University of Macedonia and the Technological Education Institute of Western Macedonia. UoWM now has departments ranging from Engineering, Education, and Fine Arts to Economic Sciences and Business administration. The University strives to provide high-quality education and scientific research in the fields it represents, maintaining its focus on becoming one of the major academic institutions in Greece.
