University of Zielona Gora

The University of Zielona Gora is a renowned university located in Zielona Gora, Poland. Founded in 1971, it is a place where education meets scientific research, leading to the dynamic development of individual interests of the students.

Overview

The University of Zielona Gora has been operating since 2001. It was established after the merger of the Technical University and the Pedagogical University, which had been educating students in Zielona Gora since 1965 and 1971 respectively. The mission of the University is to carry out diverse activities with the aim of educating highly qualified graduates and scientific staff, to carry out scientific research and developmental work, as well as artistic activities. It undertakes activities for the benefit of local and international communities, respects and protects human rights, observes the principles of social justice and academic ethos. The University is made up of faculties that provide high-quality education, conduct research and serve the region: the Faculty of Engineering and Economics, and the Faculty of Physics and Astrophysics, among others.
