Yan'an University (YAU), founded in 1941, is an educational institution with a long history. Over the past 80 years, YAU has unveiled a unique 'Yan'an Spirit' inclusive of integrity, diligence, democracy, and creativity; continuously shining through its abundant educational culture. As a comprehensive university, it offers more than 80 undergraduate and graduate programs across 18 colleges. The programs cover a broad field from humanities, science, engineering, law, education, and art etc. YAU has a teaching staff of about 1,324, out of which 784 are full-time teachers. Out of these, 414 have senior professional titles. The university aims to incorporate the Yan'an spirit in educating students, fostering high-quality talents who will contribute to the development of society. Apart from academic education, the university also gives high importance to research and has various research centers dedicated to fields like ecological economics and management, entrepreneurship and innovation, rural development, modern education technology, and plant pathology etc.
