Yangtze University is a merger of former Jianghan Petroleum University, Hubei Agricultural College, Jingzhou Teacher's College, and Hubei Medical Staff College, which were founded in the 1950s & 60s. Today, it boasts 26 colleges, with 84 undergraduate majors, 49 secondary discipline master degree programs, and 6 professional degree areas. It also has 10 provincial major and brand specialties, 1 national engineering research center, and possesses 1.25 million books in its library. It sees to promote international cooperation & exchanges, and has established relationships with over 40 universities and institutions from over 20 countries & regions.
